Unsteady hearts

Artist: Josh Paulino
This is a soulful country-pop ballad that captures the fragile beauty of love in uncertain times. Originally written in 1997, the lyrics waited decades for the right voice to bring them fully to life. That voice arrived in Josh Paulino, whose raspy, emotionally charged tone lends the perfect rawness and warmth to the song’s message. His performance gives the track a grounded, weathered sincerity-like a voice carrying miles of lived experience.

At a slow and thoughtful 79 BPM, the song unfolds as an intimate conversation on the edge of vulnerability. The verses explore the delicate space where love teeters between hope and hesitation, between fear and faith. The lyrics speak of trembling hands, shadows of the past, and the weight of unspoken feelings. But amid the emotional uncertainty, there’s also courage, a willingness to risk it all for love that just might be worth it.

The chorus, with its memorable refrain “Oh unsteady hearts / Beating in the unknown” is a poignant anthem for anyone who’s dared to love without guarantees. It evokes the feeling of navigating a wild, overgrown world, where love is both the map and the mystery. The bridge raises powerful questions about risk, fear, and the power of even the smallest spark of connection.

Musically, the arrangement blends the storytelling roots of country with the melodic sweep of pop, creating a rich, emotional landscape that feels both classic and contemporary. The instrumentation is understated, letting Josh’s voice carry the emotional weight with authenticity and soul.

“Unsteady Hearts” is more than a love song, it’s a reflection on emotional bravery. It reminds us that even when our hands tremble and the path is unclear, choosing love is still the most human-and hopeful thing we can do.

The song was composed for Josh in 2025.

Make it right

Written for and performed by Zaeli / Elisa Bank
A heartfelt pop ballad that explores the emotional crossroads of love, loss, and longing. Written with sensitivity and lyrical precision, the song captures that quiet moment when a relationship stands on the edge, where words hang heavy, and silence speaks volumes. It’s a deeply human story of vulnerability, of wanting to hold on when everything feels like it’s slipping away.

From the very first lines, the song sets a nocturnal tone and moonlight, shadows, cold winds, framing a solitary narrator reaching out in fear and hope. The lyrics are rich with imagery, painting a scene of emotional distance and quiet desperation. At the heart of this sonic landscape is the repeated, aching plea: “Stay with me, make it right.”

Zaeli (Elisa Bank), for whom the song was written, delivers a mesmerizing vocal performance that brings the lyrics to life with both tenderness and quiet strength. Her voice glides effortlessly between fragility and power, giving depth to each emotional turn. With her uniquely expressive style, Zaeli embodies the song’s themes of heartbreak and hope, making every word feel personal and true.

Musically, “Make It Right” blends classic pop ballad elements with a modern, understated production. The arrangement gives space for the emotion to breathe. Piano, subtle textures, and melodic swells support Zaeli’s voice without ever overpowering it. The result is an intimate yet anthemic track that feels at home both in late night solitude and on broader pop playlists.

Written specifically for Zaeli’s voice and interpretive strength, “Make It Right” is more than just a love song, it’s a reflection on emotional honesty, the courage to be open, and the delicate hope that love can still be saved. It is a pop ballad with soul, carried by a voice that makes every word resonate.

Come what may

Artist: Elisa Bank
Listen to a stirring and cinematic anthem that speaks to the pulse of a world on the cusp of change. As we step into a new time brimming with both apprehension and possibility, the song offers a heartfelt response to the collective unease felt by many. Rather than dwell in fear, the lyrics invite listeners to confront uncertainty with open hearts, drawing strength from shared experiences and unshakable resolve.

Infused with near pastoral musical textures that evoke wide open skies and inner stillness, the song creates a sonic space where vulnerability and power coexist. This sense of emotional landscape is brought vividly to life through the extraordinary voice of Zaeli (Elisa Bank). Known for her radiant tone and evocative delivery, Zaeli imbues each phrase with both tenderness and strength, embodying the song’s central message of hope and human dignity.

Lyrically, “Come What May” paints scars not as signs of weakness but as marks of endurance and wisdom. It is an anthem for those who have weathered storms personal, social, and global and who now stand poised to face the unknown not with fear, but with fierce grace. The song calls for unity and the courage to move forward together, no matter what lies ahead.

With its fusion of inspiring words, resonant melodies, and Zaeli’s luminous vocal performance, “Come What May” is a powerful reminder: even in uncertain times, we carry within us the strength to rise, to love, and to begin again.

The song was composed for Zaeli in 2025.

Hold On

In the serene village beside a tranquil river, Eleanor and Jamie crafted a love story not just through whispered words and tender caresses but through a symphony that echoed across the spaces of time and separation.

Eleanor, with a voice that could caress the soul and ignite embers of passion within the coldest of hearts, became the village’s nightingale. Jamie, an eloquent writer, painted his love for her through poignant words that danced gracefully across the pages of his novels. Their love was a tender melody, a gentle interweaving of notes and words that created a tapestry of eternal affection.

Her voice, backed by the lush, emotional tide of the string orchestra, conveyed a love so deep and resounding that it permeated every heart that heard it. “Remember those days, Passion burned like a fire,” she would sing, her voice transcending the physical space, entwining itself around Jamie’s heart, reassuring him that their love was ever-present, even as life’s circumstances drew them apart.

Life’s relentless march took Jamie to a bustling city far from Eleanor, into a world where his words found wider audiences. Eleanor, her roots intertwining with the village and river that had nurtured their love, stayed, sending her love to him through every note she sang. “Time flies, years pass, Love, has never shaded,” she would whisper through her songs, a promise that their love was as timeless as the river’s flow.

The river, ever-present, became the silent witness to their love, a symbol of their passion that never ceased but flowed unyieldingly through the obstacles of time and distance. “Our passion is a river and flows, Through the age of time,” she sang, her voice a gentle caress through the years of waiting, promising a love that would always wait, always remain.

Years turned into memories, and when they reunited, the grey in their hair and the lines on their faces spoke of a lifetime lived apart yet together, through the melody that Eleanor had crafted and Jamie had enveloped in words. Once again, beside the river, she sang, her voice backed by the resonant strings of the orchestra, “Hold - on.”

And so, they did hold on. Their love story became an eternal symphony, a melody woven through time, whispered by the wind, and carried by the river, touching the hearts of all who listened, teaching them that true love knows no distance, no time, and no end.

Weight of betrayal

Overview
The narrative embedded within the lyrics tells the story of a protagonist who undergoes a profound transformation following a devastating betrayal. The initial pain and anguish, symbolized by falling tears and a burning fire, gradually morph into a potent source of strength and resilience. The protagonist not only survives the betrayal but emerges stronger and more empowered, while the betrayer is doomed to be consumed by their own darkness.

Act 1 - A Painful Betrayal: In the opening act, we witness the protagonist grappling with an acute sense of pain and sorrow stemming from a poignant betrayal. The betrayer, once a beacon of light and positivity in her life, shatters her dreams and expectations, leaving her to wrestle with the haunting specters of delusion and despair. However, even amidst the pain, there are glimmers of defiance and an unwillingness to be vanquished by the betrayal.

Act 2 - Rising from the Ashes: The second act introduces an important turning point. The protagonist, refusing to remain a victim, finds the strength to stand tall and rebuild herself. By mending the shattered pieces of her dreams, she discovers new horizons and an unyielding zeal for life. Pain, once a source of heartache, becomes a catalyst for regeneration, imbuing her with newfound might and resolve. The protagonist’s transformation is symbolized by the ashes, which also signify rebirth and renewal, emblematic of her resurgence.

Act 3 - The Karmic Reckoning: The chorus reveals a karmic reckoning. The betrayer, who once shimmered with light and brilliance, faces an inevitable descent into darkness. The protagonist prophesizes the betrayer’s downfall, wherein their previously radiant beam is extinguished, turned into a pervasive night. Their heart, once a source of light, becomes shrouded by shadows, as they experience their own disintegration - the universe’s poetic justice for the pain they inflicted.

Act 4 - Unveiling Newfound Strength: As the narrative unfolds, the protagonist comes into her own, moving forward with purpose and determination. While the pain and betrayal remain crucial components of her history, they fail to tether her spirit. Instead, they become stepping stones towards her newfound strength and courage, which serve as her shield against future sorrows and disappointments.

Resolution: The story concludes with the protagonist successfully navigating through her journey from pain to empowerment. The weight of betrayal, while undeniably shattering, becomes a pivotal component in her personal growth and evolution. The betrayer, on the other hand, is left to grapple with the darkness and desolation that inevitably envelops them. The parallel journeys of the protagonist and betrayer poignantly underline the themes of karma, resilience, and the transformative power of pain.

It is a story of resilience and transformation that many can relate to, with the protagonist emerging victorious through inner strength, despite being confronted with the piercing sting of betrayal. Her triumph lies in her ability to metamorphose pain into power, ensuring that she doesn’t merely survive the betrayal, but thrives in spite of it.

This track feels like it could have been pulled straight out of a musical like “The Greatest Showman”. It is so epic in its construction and it really pulls off all of those elements. Eirlys McLeod's vocals, who I had picked up, was a different singer when I first heard it and I think Kent tends to work with her quite a lot and I can understand why because her vocals are absolutely beautiful.\n\nShe is such a talented singer and then when you add to that what is obviously Kent's orchestration behind it and his understanding of what makes an epic track, this is really, you know, it's one of those sort of tracks that makes your hair stand on end. For me, I don't know about anybody else, but I love, as we know, I'm very much a soundtrack person, I'm very much a fan of those sorts of style of epic music and this is just this is bang on and this would easily sit on a movie and a big movie and it could easily sit on a stylish TV series. I'd say stylish because it is that good a quality.\n\nI wouldn't want to see it put on any old trash.\n\n“Underground sound”

Antarctica

New day scene

Antarctica - A Tale of Survival
In Antarctica - A Tale of Survival a thrilling and heart-rending journey unfolds against the stunning but deadly backdrop of the Antarctic wilderness. The story begins with eight unassuming strangers, five men and three women, each possessing disparate backgrounds, skills, and secrets, boarding a small private plane to visit the last untouched frontier on Earth.

Their adventure takes a perilous turn when a devastating storm forces an emergency landing in the middle of the Antarctic plateau. Stranded, with their pilot gravely injured and no way to call for help, they face an environment that is as breathtakingly beautiful as it is brutally unforgiving.

Each character faces their own internal battles while struggling to survive the harsh Antarctic climate. The group includes an ambitious geologist, a secretive ex-special forces officer, an elderly but resilient explorer, a timid teacher turned wildlife photographer, a polar scientist with a haunted past, a charismatic but volatile corporate tycoon, a hardened engineer with a love for riddles, and a gifted young doctor with something to prove.

As days turn into weeks, these eight strangers must confront their fears and overcome their differences, in order to weather the storm and survive. They grapple with dwindling food supplies, debilitating frostbite, unpredictable wildlife, and the unfathomable isolation of their icy prison.

In the face of adversity, they forge unexpected alliances, engage in psychological warfare, and discover hidden reservoirs of courage and resilience. Slowly, amidst this icy desolation, they realize the struggle is not just against the cruel elements but also against their own demons and the haunting secrets they carry.

Antarctica is a compelling story about survival, friendship, betrayal, and redemption that explores the complexities of human nature under extreme conditions. This gripping tale not only brings you face-to-face with the stark beauty and perilous wrath of Antarctica but also shows how adversity can sometimes bring out the best, and the worst, in us.

The Loss

Requiem part

The Loss - this song was composed for a film scene shaped by the silence that follows catastrophe. After a passenger vessel is lost at sea, a woman is left behind to face the unbearable absence of the family she once shared her life with. The disaster itself is no longer visible. There are no crashing waves or cries for help-only the stillness of a home that suddenly feels far too large.

She moves through familiar rooms surrounded by the traces of ordinary life: a chair left slightly out of place, a photograph catching the afternoon light, personal belongings waiting for hands that will never return. Everything remains exactly where it was, yet nothing is the same. The smallest objects have become reminders of a life divided into before and after.

Her grief does not arrive as a dramatic outburst. It settles slowly into her body, appearing in unfinished gestures, distant glances and the instinctive expectation of hearing a familiar voice from another room. For brief moments, memory becomes so vivid that the people she has lost seem almost present. Then the silence returns.

The music follows this emotional movement rather than the physical events of the catastrophe. A restrained opening reflects her numbness-the mind protecting itself from a truth too immense to accept. Gradually, the arrangement begins to open, allowing sorrow, love and memory to rise to the surface.

The melody carries both tenderness and devastation. It mourns not only the lives that were lost, but also the future that disappeared with them: conversations that will never take place, celebrations that will never be shared and all the small, unremarkable moments that once made a family whole.

As the scene unfolds, fragments of warmth emerge within the requiem. These moments do not suggest that grief has passed or that the wound can simply heal. Instead, they represent the enduring presence of love-the part of those who died that remains alive within the person left behind.

There is no simple resolution. The woman cannot return to the life she knew, and the music does not attempt to offer easy comfort. It stays with her in the space between memory and reality, where sorrow and gratitude exist side by side.

“The Loss” is ultimately a piece about what remains when everything seems to have been taken away. It is a requiem for a family lost at sea, but also a reflection on the quiet strength required to continue living while carrying the memory of those who never came home.

Sparrows

In a small, quiet village surrounded by open fields and dark forests, every clear night became a spectacle. The sky was not merely filled with stars; it seemed to move and shimmer above the rooftops. The villagers believed that the stars carried the spirits of those who had gone before them, watching over the living, sharing their happiness and offering comfort in times of sorrow.

Amelia was a young woman who had lived in the village all her life. After the sudden death of her younger brother, Liam, the familiar place around her no longer felt the same. Each night, grief followed her into her room, making the darkness seem deeper and the silence more complete. Yet she found a small measure of comfort in something Liam had once told her: “When I’m gone, I’ll be up there among the stars, looking out for you.”

Night after night, Amelia lay awake beside her window. Through tear-filled eyes, she watched a small cluster of stars appear brighter above the village, as though they had moved closer just for her. She would follow their gentle flickering until exhaustion finally carried her into sleep.

One night, the weight of her loss became almost unbearable. As she closed her eyes, a pale light touched her face. When she opened them again, the room was filled with moonlight, and the stars beyond the window seemed to dance across the walls and her pillow. For the first time since Liam’s death, the pain inside her loosened its grip. It did not disappear, but within the darkness she felt the first fragile presence of hope.

As the weeks became months, Amelia began to write. She filled page after page with memories of Liam, stories about their childhood in the village and imagined tales of stars carrying messages between the living and the dead. Her sorrow slowly found another form-not forgotten, but transformed into words.

The final line of one of her stories read, “And her ache became a flock of flying sparrows.” In that moment, Amelia understood that grief had changed into memory. Like sparrows rising into the open sky, those memories moved freely within her, carrying both sadness and love. And whenever the stars appeared above the small village, she felt that Liam was still near-silent, distant, but never entirely gone.
